An Outback Affair | a wedding fair for adventurers

We can’t wait for the upcoming An Outback Affair, having been involved with all of the wedding fairs from A Fair Affair, since it’s inception in 2016. A Fair Affair wedding fairs follow a theme each year and we love this creative challenge.

In 2016 we had A Rural Affair at Fred’s Pass Show which was all about the rural, rustic and vintage inspiration. In true Territory outback fashion, the Beija Flor florists dressed a palomino in a  beautiful floral garland for the photoshoot.

2017 saw the wedding fair move uptown to Mitchell Streets, Six Tanks Brewery, the theme here was An Urban Affair. One of the things we love about these wedding fairs is that no business is closed in by traditional expo booths. Think of it as catching up with a few friends at a bar over drinks! Guests meander throughout the area weaving in and around vendors in a space that is beautifully decorated everywhere you look.

Last years An Island Affair (possibly our favourite theme to date), was held at Club Tropical Resort. The Beija Flor floral team created our most popular table setting yet. A Ralph Lauren inspired table with navy and gold accents, masses of candlelight, cascading phalenopsis orchids and monstera deliciosa.

The oh, so glamorous photoshoot and promotional video, featured a private jet along with not to mention, our trailing phalenopsis orchid bouquet.

We’ve got lots in store for An Outback Affair, which will be held at Pee Wees on Sunday 31 March, 10am - 4pm. Entry is $15 each or $20 per couple. The bar will be open and Pee Wees are offering small delicious plate to purchase.

We’ll be setting up our timber ceremony canopy, which we can’t wait to see on the new look ceremony lawns at Pee Wees. This is a huge four post chuppa style arbor which is ideal for seating your wedding guests in a semi circle.

Pee Wees is such a popular choice for Darwin weddings and it’s proximity to our new studio was one of the deciding factors when we chose the Coconut Grove location for our new floral studio. (Can you believe we’ve been there for almost a year).

Even if you’ve already booked your wedding with us this year, pop by An Outback Affair and say hello. Or if you are planning your wedding for this year or next we would love to see you there, what better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, than surrounded by flowers with stunning views of Fannie Bay from Pee Wees.
